We Bring the Showroom to You!
At Nationwide Floor & Window Coverings, we are committed to providing our customers with the highest level of quality and service in the flooring and window coverings industry. With over 31 years of experience, we have established a reputation for excellence in our field.
Our Story
Our journey began in 1992 when our founder, David Markwiese, had a vision to simplify the process of selecting flooring and window coverings for busy families and contractors. He wanted to bring the showroom to the customer, rather than requiring them to trek to multiple locations to make selections. This innovative approach has allowed us to build a loyal customer base and establish long-standing relationships with our clients.

Unsatisfactory Experience with Flooring Installation
Several reviewers express dissatisfaction with the flooring installation services provided by David's company. Some common issues mentioned include poor communication, unprofessional installers, and subpar workmanship.
Lack of Communication and Professionalism
Many reviewers experienced difficulties in communicating with David or the installation team. For example, author Stephanie Winters Babyar was not informed about changes to the install plan, including the omission of a transition piece and the drilling into her fireplace. Similarly, author Margaret Edelstein felt that David was more concerned with realtor's timeframes than the customer's concerns. This lack of transparency and poor communication led to misunderstandings and frustration.
Subpar Workmanship and Unprofessional Installers
Several reviewers reported receiving poor service from the installation team. Author Stephanie Winters Babyar mentioned that the installers did not complete the job as promised, while author Margaret Edelstein's carpet was lumpy and uneven with visible seams. Author Kathy Kaminski had a particularly disastrous experience, where the installers failed to install a correct wax ring on her toilet, resulting in leaks and water damage.
Occasional Positive Experience
However, not all reviewers had a negative experience. Authors Andrea Dolsky and Ed Hormann praised David's helpfulness, personal demeanor, and attention to detail. They reported being satisfied with the overall service and quality of work.
